Financial Assistance

To achieve our goal of allowing more girls the opportunity to play basketball, the SGBA Board of Directors has developed a Financial Aid program.  This ensures that any girl, regardless of financial situation, will have the opportunity to play basketball.

The SGBA Basketball Financial Program details are the following:

  • For ALL Programs: SGBA will reduce fees by 50%-100% of the full cost of the registration fee, (including the Travel fee when applicable), if the player is a recipient of a free or reduced school lunch.
  • As part of the Basketball program registration process, there will be a checkbox to be marked and a code to be entered if the player has requested financial aid.  Steps below detail how to get access to that code.

Steps to applying for Financial Aid:  Parents requesting financial aid for the program should only apply once per year:

  • To register for financial assistance for the first time this school year
    • Be prepared to include your 2025-26 school year free/reduced verification letter in the registration, with the player's name listed.  This is sent from the school district.
    • You will only need to submit the verification letter one time per school year.
    • Allow 3-5 business days to receive a discount code to use during checkout for the program registration. Please wait to register for your child's specific program until you've received the discount code from SGBA.
