While playing games is important to a player's development, SGBA believes that conditioning and building solid fundamentals are also critical.

Skills training leading up to the winter season.   Focus on conditioning and fundamentals.

Players planning to try out for travel basketball.

In Season Training with Hoopology Trainers

Hoopology trainers work with players during regularly scheduled practices with focus on skill development.

Attack the Basket Camp

Summer

 

Campers will participate in advanced competition drills with ball handling, shooting, individual post and perimeter moves.  Campers will also be competing in 1-on-1, 3-on-3, and 5-on-5 games. 

Grades 4-12

Summer Skills Camp

Summer

 

The focus of the camp will be ball handling, dribbling, shooting, rebounding, and offensive & defensive techniques. Camp sessions include individual, small groups, and a variety of contests/games to provide skill improvements.

Grades 1-8

Spring Skills


 

March/April

 

Program focused on skill development, having fun and meeting new friends all while being introduced to the game of basketball. Fundamentals will be the sole focus. Emphasis on shooting, dribbling, passing, pivoting, spacing and building a good basketball IQ. 

Grades 1-6 players who are new or relatively new to the game of basketball


AAU Information - Team Websites

AAU is competitive basketball for grades 5th-11th during the Spring/Summer. Typically clubs will have 1-2 practices per week and 5-8 tournaments including at least one out-of-state tournament. Most clubs will hold tryouts in August/September for the following Spring season.
