We are looking to put together the best team possible and there are no guarantees that EVERYONE who signs up to play basketball will make the final roster.
Privilege
Being a member of a team is a privilege, not a right. If you choose to try out for the team and are selected you will be required to make some sacrifices. All decisions are at the discretion of the coaching staff and are subject to review depending on circumstances.
Team Player – The team comes ahead of any person on the team; do your best to help your teammates play better.
Absences & Punctuality – When you play a team sport, you’re committing to attend every practice and game. When you are absent, you miss a chance to improve yourself and the team. It is important that you be on time to practices and games. Any unexcused absence will result in missing game time. (eg. missing 1 practice results in missing half a game; missing 2 practices results in missing a full game; missing 3 practices results in missing 2 games…)
Effort – Do your best every time you walk on the court; your teammates and coaches are counting on you. Remember, COMPETE, COMPETE, COMPETE!
Enthusiasm – Bring a positive attitude to every practice and game, regardless of whether the team is winning or losing.
Commitment – You are expected to be committed to basketball the entire season.
Student Athlete – You are expected to be a model student athlete by participating in the classroom, attending classes regularly, and showing respect to your teachers and classmates.
Support for Our Program – Varsity players are expected to watch, cheer on, and support the B and JV teams to the extent that our schedule allows. B and JV players are expected to watch, cheer on, and support the Varsity team, as well as help with filming games and taking stats.
Successful Season – We will try to win as many games as possible, but the key goals are to improve and work as hard as we can. Your coaches have no doubt that we will achieve those goals.
Enjoy the season. Support the teams and support your daughters. Remember, be positive. Let’s make this the best season ever! Thank you in advance for your suppor
