SGBA Basketball Programs Overview
We strive to live the mission of the SGBA by providing basketball programs for all girls interested in playing the game of basketball. We offer three programs: In House, Rec Travel, and Travel.
Our programs are designed to provide options for all girls to play the sport. Our In House programs provide an opportunity girl as young as 1st grade. Our Rec Travel program provides girls an opportunity to participate in a structured basketball program as alternative to our competitive travel program.
In 2022, we have made some big changes to our season lengths and program offers to provide even more opportunities for girls in our community to play basketball.

In House Program
October - December (Fall) January - February (Winter)
- Grades 1-4th
- Competition Level - Recreational
- No formal tryouts
- Game Locations - Red Oak or Sun Path
- 1-2nd / 3-4th Details
- Team size - 6 to 8 players
- Game format - 3x3 / 4x4
- Cost - $100 per season (1-2nd) $125 per season (3-4th)

Rec Travel Program
Late October - February
- Grades 3-4th (Jan-Feb), 5-6th, 7-8th
- Competition Level - Recreational
- No formal tryouts
- Game Locations - Prior Lake, Burnsville, Bloomington, and Lakeville are typically game locations
- Team Details
- Team size - 7 to 10 players
- Game format - 5x5
- Cost - $125 per season
